Torque Converter End Play - With ATX (FLC)

INSPECTION
1. Position end play checking tool No. T81P-79O2-D or equivalent in torque converter hub and tighten nut.

Checking Torque Converter Endplay:

2. Mount dial indicator on endplay checking tool, as shown in the Checking Torque Converter Endplay image. With stylus contacting converter shell and indicator zeroed, lift on checking tool handles.
3. If reading exceeds 0.010-0.040 inch, replace converter.
