DISASSEMBLE

Exploded View Of Band Apply Servo Assembly:

NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View Of Band Apply Servo Assembly image when performing this procedure.

1. Remove piston return spring and servo piston from cover.
2. Remove piston rod retaining clip, then the piston rod, cushion spring, and retaining washer from piston.
3. Remove seals from servo cover and servo piston.

ASSEMBLE
1. Position spring retainer washer and cushion spring on piston rod, then install servo piston on assembly.
2. Compress cushion spring, and install retaining clip.
3. Install seals on servo piston and servo cover.
4. Lubricate piston seals with petroleum jelly, then install piston in cover by rotating.
5. Install piston return spring on piston rod.
