Throttle Body: Service and Repair

1. Remove air tube at fuel charging assembly inlet.
2. Disconnect electrical connector at inertia switch located on lefthand side of luggage compartment.
3. Remove fuel cap and release tank pressure, then release fuel system pressure by cranking engine for 15 seconds.
4. On models with manual transaxle, disconnect throttle cable.
5. On models with automatic transaxle, disconnect throttle valve lever.
6. On all models, disconnect electrical connectors at idle speed control, throttle position sensor and fuel injector.
7. Disconnect fuel inlet, outlet connections and Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) vacuum line at fuel charging assembly.
8. Remove two fuel charging assembly retaining nuts, then the fuel charging assembly.
9. Remove charging assembly mounting gasket from intake manifold.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
