Timing Belt Cover: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove accessory drive belts. Remove crankshaft pulley and sprocket baffle plate, behind crankshaft pulley. Note direction of sprocket baffle plate installation.
  2. Support engine and remove retaining nuts and dowels from right engine mount. Remove engine mount. Remove bolts from upper and lower timing belt covers. Remove timing belt covers and gaskets.
