Disc Brake Caliper - Rear (Probe): Disassembly

1. Remove caliper as previously described. Open bleeder screw and drain fluid out through brake hose fitting. Remove caliper guide bushing and dust boots. Pry retaining spring off dust boot and discard dust boot.
2. Using Brake Piston Remover (T75P-2588-B), rotate piston counterclockwise and remove piston from adjuster spindle. Carefully remove piston seal. Remove snap ring. See Fig 1 . Remove stopper, adjusting spindle and connecting link. Remove and discard "O" ring from adjusting spindle.
3. Remove parking brake return spring. Remove nut and lock washer. Match mark operating lever-to-shaft. Remove operating lever from shaft. Remove seal and dust boot, shaft and needle bearing from caliper.
