Brake Warning Light System (AEROSTAR)
- Turn ignition switch to START position. If BRAKE warning light does not light, check lamp and wiring and repair as necessary.
- If warning light does not illuminate when fluid level in reservoir is low, warning light may be burned out, there may be an open in switch-to-light wiring or fluid level switch may be inoperative.
- Disconnect wiring harness from master cylinder. With a wire or other metallic object, short all three terminals in wiring harness connector. If the light does not illuminate, check bulb and replace if necessary. Check switch-to-lamp wires for open and repair. If light still does not illuminate, check parking brake switch.
- If light comes on when connector is shorted, problem is in master cylinder portion of circuit. Ensure wire from fluid level indicator switch-to-differential pressure switch is connected. Re-check warning light function. Otherwise replace reservoir assembly.
