Brake Caliper: Reassembly

  1. Lubricate piston seal with clean brake fluid and install in cylinder bore groove. Ensure seal is not twisted in groove. Lubricate cylinder bore with clean brake fluid.
  2. Lubricate sealing beads of new boot with clean brake fluid. Install boot into caliper bore, setting boot flange squarely in outer groove of caliper bore.
  3. Coat piston boot with clean brake fluid. Install piston in cylinder bore while spreading dust boot over piston as it is installed. Seat dust boot in piston groove.
