Testing (On Vehicle)

NOTE: A slight noise in differential on tight turns after extended highway driving is considered acceptable and has no detrimental effect.
  1. Raise one wheel and leave opposite wheel firmly on ground. Install Traction-Lok Torque Adapter (T59L-4204-A) on wheel mounting studs. Place transmission in "N".
  2. Using a torque wrench, note torque required to keep wheel rotating through several revolutions. Break away torque should be 20 ft. lbs. (27 N.m). Torque may reduce while turning wheel. Wheel should turn smoothly without slipping.
