Rear Output Shaft Oil Seal R & I: Installation

  1. Make sure output housing bore and face are free from nicks and burrs. Coat oil seal with a small amount of multipurpose grease. Position oil seal into rear output housing bore. Make sure oil seal is not cocked in bore. Drive seal into bore with Driver (T80T-4000-W) and Output Shaft Seal Installer (T83T-7065-B).
  2. Install yoke, rubber seal, steel washer, and nut on output shaft. Tighten nut. Connect rear drive shaft to transfer case output shaft yoke and tighten bolts.
