Rotor (4WD W/Manual Locking Hubs): Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle with safety stands. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove caliper and support out of the way. Remove locking hub assembly. See appropoate LOCKING HUBS under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  .
  2. Using Four-Prong Spindle Nut Spanner Wrench (T83T-1197-B), remove outer wheel bearing locknut from spindle. Ensure tabs on tool engage the slots on locknut. Remove locknut washer from spindle.
  3. Remove inner wheel bearing locknut using Four-Prong Spindle Nut Spanner Wrench (T83T-1197-B). Ensure tabs on tool engage the slots in locknut and the slot in tool is centered over locknut pin.
  4. Remove outer wheel bearing. Carefully remove hub and rotor assembly. Remove inner seal and bearing.
