Cleaning & Inspection

  1. Clean all metal parts with isopropyl alcohol. Clean out and dry grooves and passageways with compressed air. Ensure that caliper bore and component parts are thoroughly clean.
  2. Inspect cylinder bore, seal grooves and boot grooves for wear or damage. If bore is scored, corroded or worn, replace caliper. Inspect piston for damage or excessive wear. Replace piston if it shows signs of pitting or scoring.
