Master Cylinder Bleeding (AEROSTAR)

  1. Loosen one line nut on master cylinder. Wrap shop cloth around tubing below fitting to absorb escaping brake fluid. Depress brake pedal to floor by hand and hold. Tighten fitting.
  2. Release brake pedal. Do not release pedal until fitting is tightened or air will re-enter master cylinder. Repeat procedure until air no longer escapes from master cylinder.
  3. Place a box wrench on bleeder screw on forward end of master cylinder. Attach a rubber drain hose and submerge end in container partially filled with clean brake fluid. Loosen bleeders screw approximately 3/4 turn.
  4. Slowly depress brake pedal to floor by hand and hold. Tighten bleeder screw and release pedal. Repeat process until all air is purged from master cylinder.
