Bronco, "E" & "F" Series

  1. Rotate ignition key back and forth to either side of lock, until a 5/64" (1.98 mm) drill bit can be inserted through lock-pin hole as far as possible. The minimum distance should be 3/8" (9.5 mm).
  2. The lock-pin hole is located on right of switch. Loosen switch mount nuts. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position and remove ignition key. Move switch up and down along column to locate mid-position of actuating lash.
  3. Tighten switch mounting nuts. Tighten top nut first to minimize rod binding. Tighten to 40-65 INCH lbs. (4.5-7.3 N.m). Remove drill bit from lock-pin hole. Plug in electrical connector and operate lock cylinder to ensure ignition switch is positioned properly.
  4. Confirm that all accessories are off with ignition switch in OFF position. Confirm that all accessories are on with switch in RUN position.
