Temperature Gauge (Thunderbird/Cougar)

  1. Verify the condition. If the Gauge pointer does not move, go to step 2). If the Gauge pointer does move go to step 1) under Temperature Gauge Calibration (Thunderbird).
  2. Check power to cluster. With ignition on, observe other gauges and warning lamps for proper operation. If necessary, use Rotunda Digital/Volt Ohm Meter 014-00407 or equivalent or test lamp to verify voltage at B+ terminal of cluster connector. If other gauges and warning lamps operate correctly; voltage present at cluster, go to step 1) under Temperature Gauge Calibration (Thunderbird). If other gauges and warning lamps do not operate correctly; no voltage present at cluster, then SERVICE power to cluster.
