Installation (Turbo)

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure using new gaskets. Install gasket with raised area against exhaust manifold. Ensure special type nuts are installed to retain turbo on exhaust manifold.
  2. Pour .85 ozs. (.02L) of engine oil in oil feed passage of turbo prior to installing oil feed line.
    CAUTION: If turbo was removed from exhaust manifold, ensure special type nuts are used for turbo installation. Pour .85 ozs. (.02L) of engine oil in oil feed passage of turbo prior to installing oil feed line.
  3. Once all components are installed and cooling system is filled, disconnect coil wire at ignition coil. Crank engine for approximately 20 seconds. Reconnect coil wire.
  4. Start engine and allow to idle for 30 seconds. Stop engine and disconnect negative battery cable. Depress brake pedal for at least 5 seconds to cancel trouble code. Reconnect negative battery cable.
