Cylinder Head: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure cylinder head bolt threads and cylinder block are clean. Ensure proper type cylinder head gasket is used. Different type gasket is used for non-turbo and turbo models.
  2. Apply light coat of oil to head bolts threads and seating surface prior to installation. Tighten cylinder head bolts to specification in 2 steps using proper sequence. See Fig 1. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Ensure all timing marks are aligned.
