Disc Brake Caliper & Pads - Rear (Continental & THUNDERBIRD): Installation

  1. When installing new pad, caliper piston must be properly retracted. Using piston remover, rotate piston clockwise until piston is fully seated in caliper. Align one of the piston slots with tab on disc pad.
  2. Install inner and outer disc pads in anchor plate. Rotate caliper assembly over rotor into position. Ensure disc pads are properly positioned. Clean pinch bolt threads and apply threadlock and sealer. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Bleed and adjust as necessary.
