Fuel Gauge Continuity Check No. 2

  1. On non-turbo models, ground Black/Blue wire at fuel tank sending unit 6-pin connector. On turbo models equipped with Vehicle Maintenance Monitor (VMM), ground Black/Light Green wire. See FUEL TANK SENDING UNIT 6-PIN TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION illustration. Fuel tank sending unit 6-pin connector is located on front of fuel tank.
  2. Observe fuel gauge reading. If fuel gauge reads correctly, repair Black wire between fuel tank sending unit and ground. If fuel gauge does not read correctly, replace fuel tank sending unit.
