Rear Disc Brake Pads (Tracer Only): Installation

Install anchor plate clips. If clips are not installed in their original locations, contact to rotors may occur. Lubricate anchor plate clips with lithium grease.
Install shims on backs of pads and install pads into anchor plate. Install disc pad retaining spring. Pivot caliper downward over pads. If necessary, rotate disc brake piston for proper clearance. Install lower caliper bolt.
Install parking brake cable in caliper parking brake lever. Position parking brake cable bracket against rear caliper. Install parking brake cable attaching bolt. Install wheel and tire assembly.
Pump brake pedal several times to seat brake pads. Check fluid level (if necessary). With wheels off ground, spin each wheel several times to ensure calipers are not frozen and parking brake is not adjusted too tight. See Figure .
