Rear Disc Brake Caliper (Tracer Only): Installation
- Install brake pads and shims. Before installing caliper, remove upper guide pin and lower guide pin bushing. Remove guide pin and guide pin bushing dust boots. Install guide pin and guide pin bushing dust boots. Lubricate upper guide pin and lower guide pin bushing with High Temperature Grease (D7AZ-19590-A) or equivalent, and install into caliper.
- Position caliper over rotor. It may be necessary to rotate piston for proper clearance. Tighten upper guide pin with an Allen wrench, and install dust cap with plastic hammer. Install lower caliper attaching bolt through lower caliper guide pin bushing. Tighten caliper bolt to 29-36 ft. lbs. (39-49 N.m).
- Install 2 new copper washers and banjo bolt on flex hose banjo fitting. Position flex hose on caliper and install banjo bolt. Tighten bolt to 16-22 ft. lbs. (22-29 N.m). Bleed brakes and install wheel and tire assembly. See Fig 1
