Parking Brake: Tracer
- Ensure brakes are properly adjusted. Raise and support rear of vehicle. Remove parking brake lever boot or console (if necessary). Release brake lever. Turn adjusting screw or nut to obtain clearance.
- Pull lever with 44 lbs. (196 N) force. Stroke should be as specified. See PARKING BRAKE STROKE
in this article.
- Install brake lever boot or console. Operate parking brake several times and ensure rear wheels rotate freely. Ensure that rear brakes do not drag, and parking brake warning light is activated when lever is pulled one notch.
