Thrust Bearing Alignment
- Install thrust bearing cap after all other main bearing caps have been tightened. Install thrust bearing cap bolts finger tight.
- Pry crankshaft forward against thrust surface of upper half of bearing. Hold crankshaft forward and pry thrust bearing cap to rear. Tighten cap bolts while retaining forward pressure on crankshaft.
