Piston & Rod Assembly: Removal

When removing ridge, never cut more than 1/32" (.79 mm) into ring travel area. Remove cylinder head, oil pan and oil pump. Ensure connecting rods and caps are marked for cylinder identification. Remove rod cap. Install short piece of protective tubing over connecting rod studs.
