Piston & Rod Assembly: Installation
Ensure bore is clean and dry. Coat cylinder bore, piston and rings with engine oil. Ensure ring gaps are properly spaced. Refer to Fig 1. Large chamfered side of rod bearing end must be positioned toward crankshaft cheek; and facing toward front of engine on right bank rods, and facing toward rear of engine on left bank rods.
