Removal & Installation (Except "F" Series Super Duty)

  1. Raise vehicle and allow rear axle to hang in full rebound position. Clean valve exterior to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.
  2. Remove linkage arm from valve. Disconnect brake line and flex hose from valve. Remove valve from mounting bracket. Install new sensing valve on mounting bracket. Tighten bolts to 12-18 ft. lbs. (16-24 N.m).
  3. Install flex hose using new copper gaskets. Tighten flow bolt to 28-34 ft. lbs. (37-46 N.m). Install brake line to lower port on valve and tighten securely. Connect linkage assembly to the sensing shaft. Tighten nut to 8-10 ft. lbs. (11-14 N.m). Bleed brake system. Install wheels. Lower vehicle and test brakes.
