Connecting Rod Bearings

Use Plastigage on main bearings and rod bearings. If clearance is not within specifications with standard bearings, use .002" (.050 mm) undersize and recheck clearance. Always replace rod or main bearings in pairs. When installing bearings, apply light coat of engine oil to journals and bearings. Tighten all bolts/nuts to specifications.
