Fuel Sending Unit: Removal

Remove fuel from tank. Remove fuel tank band fasteners nearest front of vehicle. Carefully lower front of fuel tank. Remove dirt that has accumulated around sending unit so dirt will not enter tank. Disconnect tank lines at sending unit. Disconnect wiring connector from fuel sender. Turn sending unit locking ring counterclockwise using Fuel Tank Sender Wrench T86T-9275-A or equivalent. Remove locking ring, sending unit and sealing gasket.
