Festiva (Bench Test)

  1. Remove fuel tank sending unit service hole cover. Disconnect sending unit connector and fuel hoses. Remove fuel tank sending unit. Connect ohmmeter to sending unit, check sending unit resistance.
  2. With float in "FULL" (up) position, resistance should be 3 ohms, 1/2 position, resistance should be 32.5 ohms, "EMPTY" (down) position, resistance should be 110 ohms. If resistance values are not as specified, replace sending unit. See Fig 1 .
