Charge Indicator Light

With ignition in "START" or "RUN" position, battery current flows through the alternator warning indicator light into regulator and to ground through a solid-state indicator switch.

Indicator light should come on when ignition is first turned on. It should go out after engine is started. Indicator light should also come on when alternator produces a low voltage output or if alternator belt is misadjusted or breaks.
