Control Actuator
The DC motor idle speed control actuator (DC-ISCA), Fig. 5, is mounted to the fuel charging assembly and controls the idle speed including, high cam RPM, anti-diesel shut-off, dashpot and pre-positioning for the next engine start. The DC-ISCA is controlled by the EEC-IV system and includes an integral idle tracking switch (ITS).
