Steering Knuckle: Installation
- Be sure upper and lower ball joint seals are in place. Place steering knuckle over ball joints. Apply thread locking compound (Loctite 242 or equivalent) to lower ball stud and tighten.
- Install camber adjuster in upper steering knuckle over upper ball joint. If camber adjustment is necessary, special adapters must be installed.
- Apply thread locking compound (Loctite 242 or equivalent) to upper ball joint stud and install nut. Hold camber adapter to avoid ball stud movement. Tighten nut.
- Tighten lower ball stud nut and install cotter pin. Install dust shield. Pack bearings with bearing grease. Install inner seal cone and seal.
- Install hub and rotor on steering knuckle. Install outer bearing cone, washer and nut. Adjust bearing end play and install cotter pin and dust cap. Install caliper. Connect steering linkage to steering knuckle. Tighten nut.
