Rear Main Bearing Oil Seal: Removal
- Remove transmission from vehicle. Remove pressure plate and clutch disc, if equipped. Remove flywheel, flywheel housing and rear plate.
- Punch 2 holes in rear main bearing oil seal. Punch holes directly opposite of each other. Install a sheet metal screw in each hole.
- Using 2 large screwdrivers, pry on both screws at the same time until seal is removed from engine block.
