Instrument Cluster R & I - ECONOLINE/Club Wagon
- Disconnect battery ground. Remove 2 steering column shroud-to-panel retaining screws and remove shroud. Loosen bolts attaching column to band "C" support to provide additional clearance for cluster removal, on vehicles with tilt steering columns.
- Remove 7 screws retaining cluster to instrument panel. Position cluster away from panel for access to rear of cluster. Disconnect speedometer cable. Disconnect multiple feed plug from printed circuit board. Remove instrument cluster from instrument panel.NOTE: In some cases, it may prove necessary to remove speedometer cable at the transmission, pulling cable through cowl.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply approximately 3/16" diameter ball of silicone lubricant in drive hole of speedometer head.
