Pinion Yoke & Seal: Installation

  1. Lubricate cavity between seal lips with high melting point lubricant. Install seal into bore, making sure it bottoms against shoulder.
  2. Place flange on shaft and draw it down with pinion nut. Tighten nut to specifications. Install drive shaft.
CAUTION: Failure to tighten pinion nut to full specifications will result in flange or pinion shaft failure.
