Axle Shafts & Bearings: Removal
- Raise vehicle and support with safety stands. Remove wheel assemblies and brake drums. Remove housing cover and drain lubricant.
- Remove differential pinion shaft lock bolt and pinion shaft. Push axle toward center and remove "C" locks.
- Remove axles being careful not to cut axle seal. Using a slide hammer and puller, remove bearing and seal as a unit.
