Axle Bearings & Seals: Reassembly
- Place the retainer plate and a new bearing on the axle shaft, and press new wheel bearing on shaft with Pinion Bearing Cone Replacer (T62F-4621-A).
- Bearing should seat firmly against shaft shoulder. Do not attempt to press on both bearing and inner retainer ring at the same time.
- Using the bearing installation tool, press bearing inner retainer ring on shaft until retainer seats firmly against bearing. Do not heat bearing to install on axle.
