Axle Bearings & Seals: Disassembly

  1. Remove axle shaft as previously described. Loosen the inner retainer ring by nicking it deeply with a cold chisel in several places. It will then slide off easily.
  2. Remove the bearing from the axle shaft with Pinion Bearing Cone remover (T71P-4621-B). Do not apply heat to bearing when removing it from axle.
