Body - Interior & Exterior: Hood: Hood: Removal

1. Remove the hood insulation (1). Refer to INSULATION, HOOD, REMOVAL .

2. Disconnect the washer hose three-war connector (1).
3. With the use of (special tool #C-4829A, Remover, Trim) or equivalent, release the washer hose routing clips (2).

4. With the help of an assistant, have the assistant hold the opposite side of the hood.
5. Remove gas prop cylinders (2) from the hood side (1) studs. Refer to PROP, GAS, REMOVAL .

6. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the hinges (1) locations to use as reference marks for installation.
7. Remove the fasteners (2) securing the hood (3) to the hood hinges (2).
8. Repeat on the opposite side.
9. Remove the hood (3) from the vehicle.
