Fascia, Front: Removal
Trekking Models
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Working on both sides of the car, carefully release the first two front retainers (1a) from the moldings (1b) of the front wheel arches, with the suitable tool; then carefully remove the adhesive strip (1c) in the area of the two retainers.
- If the retainers (1a) are damaged, replace them during installation.
- Carefully release the ends (2a) from the retainers (2b) of the front wheel flares (2c).
- Loosen the screws and remove the plastic retainers (1a) from the lower front fascia (1b).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (2a) for the front fog light wiring.
- Working on both sides of the vehicle, remove the screws (1a) attaching the front wheelhouse splash shields to the fascia (1b).
- Remove the screws (2a) attaching the fascia (1b) to the fenders.
- Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a) for the headlights.
- Remove the upper screws securing the fascia.
- Remove the front fascia releasing it from its housing, paying attention that the front wheel flares are released from the fascia.
Standard Models
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Release the tabs and remove the plastic retainers (1a) for the lower front fascia (1b).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (2a) for the fog light wiring.
- Working on both sides of the vehicle, remove the screws (1a) attaching the front wheelhouse splash shields to the fascia (1b).
- Remove the screws (2a) attaching the fascia (lb) to the fender.
- 1. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a) for the main beam headlights.
- 2. Remove the upper attaching screws (2) for the fascia.
- Remove the front fascia (1a) by releasing the side retainers (1b) from their seats.
