Fascia, Front: Removal

Trekking Models

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
3. Working on both sides of the car, carefully release the first two front retainers (1a) from the moldings (1b) of the front wheel arches, with the suitable tool; then carefully remove the adhesive strip (1c) in the area of the two retainers.
4. If the retainers (1a) are damaged, replace them during installation.
5. Carefully release the ends (2a) from the retainers (2b) of the front wheel flares (2c).

6. Loosen the screws and remove the plastic retainers (1a) from the lower front fascia (1b).
7. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2a) for the front fog light wiring.

8. Working on both sides of the vehicle, remove the screws (1a) attaching the front wheelhouse splash shields to the fascia (1b).
9. Remove the screws (2a) attaching the fascia (1b) to the fenders.

10. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a) for the headlights.
11. Remove the upper screws securing the fascia.
12. Remove the front fascia releasing it from its housing, paying attention that the front wheel flares are released from the fascia.

Standard Models

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
3. Release the tabs and remove the plastic retainers (1a) for the lower front fascia (1b).
4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2a) for the fog light wiring.

5. Working on both sides of the vehicle, remove the screws (1a) attaching the front wheelhouse splash shields to the fascia (1b).
6. Remove the screws (2a) attaching the fascia (lb) to the fender.

7. 1. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a) for the main beam headlights.
8. 2. Remove the upper attaching screws (2) for the fascia.

9. Remove the front fascia (1a) by releasing the side retainers (1b) from their seats.
