Fascia, Rear: Removal

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .

- On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
- Disconnect the negative 12-volt battery cable.
- Remove the rear splash shield on both sides of the vehicle.
- Remove the outboard fastener (2) on both sides securing the rear fascia (1) to the vehicle.
- Remove the fasteners (3) located under the middle underside of the fascia (1).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the taillamps. Refer to LAMP, TAIL STOP TURN, REMOVAL .
- Remove the fastener (1) on both sides securing the top of the rear fascia (2) to the vehicle.
- Pull out on the fascia sides to disengage the rear fascia retaining tabs.
- Disconnect the park assist sensor wiring harness connector, if so equipped.
- Remove the rear fascia (2).
