Cylinder, Door Lock: Removal

Roll up window.
Remove the door trim panel and watershield. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL , and Refer to WATERSHIELD, DOOR, REMOVAL .
Detach the rod from the door latch.
Remove the nut (3) from the handle assembly (2).
Remove the screw (1) from the handle assembly (2).
Remove the handle assembly (2) from the door and disconnect the wiring harness.

CAUTION:
Use caution when removing the lock rod lever to avoid damage.
Using a small pick tool, remove the lock rod lever (1) from the back of the cylinder housing.

Using a small pick tool, disengage the clip (1) from the cylinder housing.

Insert the vehicle key (1) into the lock cylinder (2), turn the key slightly and pull out the lock cylinder from the front of the handle.
