A/C Discharge Line Removal

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
- Remove the electric motor trim cover.
- Power down the high voltage system
Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE POWER DOWN PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the negative 12-volt battery cable.
- Recover the refrigerant
Refer to REFRIGERANT SYSTEM RECOVERY .
- Remove the cooling module
Refer to MODULE, A/C AND HEATER, REMOVAL .
- Remove the Electric A/C Compressor (EAC) discharge fitting nut (1), and disconnect the fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and ports.
- Remove the LH lower A/C discharge line bracket bolt (1).
- Remove the RH upper A/C discharge line bracket bolt (1).
- Remove the A/C discharge line.
