Duct, Instrument Panel: Installation

NOTE:

Take the proper precautions to protect the instrument panel cover from cosmetic damage during this service procedure.

NOTE:

If a foam seal on an instrument panel duct is deformed or damaged, the seal must be replaced.

  1. Position the center duct (4) onto the instrument panel cover (3).
  2. Install the radio bracket (1). Refer to RADIO, INSTALLATION .
  3. Install the two rivets (2) that secure the center duct (4) to the rear of the radio bracket.

  4. Install the two rivets (2 and 4) that secure the center duct (3) to the front of the instrument panel cover (3).

  5. Connect the passenger side instrument panel duct (2) to the center duct (1). Make sure the ducts are fully engaged to each other.
  6. Install the rivet (3) that secures the passenger side instrument panel duct (2) to the instrument panel cover (4).

  7. Connect the driver side instrument panel duct (5) to the center duct (2). Make sure the ducts are fully engaged to each other.
  8. Install the two rivets (1 and 3) that secure the driver side instrument panel duct to the instrument panel cover (4).
  9. Install the instrument panel cover. Refer to COVER, INSTRUMENT PANEL, INSTALLATION .
  10. Power up the high-voltage system. Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE POWER UP .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
