Check Electrical Resistance Between E-Motor Phases

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE POWER DOWN PROCEDURE. .

Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE POWER DOWN PROCEDURE. to perform the High Voltage Power Down procedure.

  1. Disconnect 3-phase Wiring Harness from the e-Motor.
  2. Use a qualified micro Ohm measurement instrument to measure the resistance value between the three pins (U/V/W) of the e-Motor, 3 measurements in total (U-V, U-W, V-W).
  3. If measured resistance value is not between 27.36mOhms and 30.24mOhms, replace e-Motor in accordance with the service information.
