Mechanism, Gearshift: Removal

  1. Verify that the transmission is in neutral prior to the start of this procedure.
  2. Detach the gearshift boot from console.
  3. Remove the lower instrument panel bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL .

  4. Disconnect the selector cable (1) and the shift cable (2) from the gearshift assembly.

  5. Remove the cable retention clips (1) from the gearshift assembly.

  6. Remove the nuts and bolt.
  7. Remove the gearshift assembly.
