Unit, Headlamp: Removal: Lamp

NOTE:

The headlamp unit combines the low beam and high beam in a single headlamp unit.

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .

  1. On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system, Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
  2. Disconnect the negative 12 volt battery cable.
  3. Remove the fascia from the front of the vehicle. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the three screws (1) that secure the headlamp unit (2) to the front fender and the Front End Module (FEM) support structure.
  5. Pull the headlamp unit away from the front of the vehicle far enough to access the wiring connection on the back of the lamp housing.
  6. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the headlamp connector receptacle.
  7. Remove the headlamp unit from the vehicle.
