WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
- On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system, Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
- Disconnect the negative 12 volt battery cable.
- Turn the front wheels to permit easiest access to the access door (2) in the front of the front wheel house splash shield (1) on the same side of the vehicle as the lamp being serviced.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Unlatch and remove the access panel to access the back of the lower front combination lamp unit housing.
- On U.S. and Canada market vehicles, rotate the cover (1) on the back of the lower front combination lamp unit housing counterclockwise and remove it from the lamp. On Mexico and Latin America market vehicles, remove the protective rubber boot from the back of the lower front combination lamp unit housing.
- Firmly grasp the appropriate bulb socket (2) or (3 - United States and Canada only) on the back of the lower front combination lamp unit housing and rotate it counterclockwise about 30 degrees to unlock it.
- Pull the socket and bulb straight out from the keyed opening in the housing (1).
- Pull the base of the bulb straight out of the socket.
