Switch, Parking Brake: Description

The park brake switch (2) is located on the park brake lever mechanism (3) on the floor panel transmission tunnel below the center floor console. This switch is a single pole, single throw plunger-actuated switch that is secured by an integral mounting tab and an integral metal retaining clip to the base bracket (3) for the park brake lever.
The molded plastic switch housing includes an integral connector receptacle that connects the switch to the vehicle electrical system through a dedicated take out and connector of the body wire harness.
The park brake switch cannot be adjusted or repaired and, if ineffective or damaged, it must be replaced.
