Seat, Front: Installation
WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
NOTE:
Base model shown, other models typical unless noted.
NOTE:
Driver side shown, passenger side typical unless noted.
- Position the seat into the vehicle.
- Connect the wiring harness connectors.
- Loosely install the seat to floor bolts (1) located in the front of the front seat.
- Tighten the bolts to 24 N-m (18 ft. lbs.) in the following sequence :
- Front outboard bolt.
- Front inboard bolt.
- Passenger side seats, install the harness cover (2) by aligning and pushing in the retaining pins (1).
- Position the seat forward.
- Loosely install the seat to floor bolts (1, 2) located in the rear area of the front seat.
- Tighten the bolts to 24 N-m (18 ft. lbs.) in the following sequence :
- Rear inboard bolt.
- Rear outboard bolt.
- Do not reconnect the battery negative cable at this time. The occupant classification module system verification test procedure should be performed following service of any supplemental restraint system component. Refer to .
- On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power up the 12 volt system
Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect the 12-volt negative battery cable.
