Fascia, Front: Installation

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

NOTE:

Base model shown, other models typical unless noted.

  1. Position the fascia (1) to the vehicle.
  2. Align and position the fascia to fender retaining tabs.
  3. Push in on the fascia sides at the fender to engage the retaining tabs.

  4. Install the four fasteners (1) securing the fascia to the upper radiator support. Tighten the fasteners securely.

  5. Raise and support the vehicle.
  6. Install the two outboard fasteners (1) located at the bottom of fascia. Tighten the fasteners securely.
  7. Install the three middle fasteners (2) located at the bottom of the fascia. Tighten the fasteners securely.

  8. Peel back the splash shield and install the fender to fascia fastener (1). Tighten the fastener securely. Repeat on the opposite side.

  9. Open the access door (2) located on the splash shield and connect the fog/park lights and the side marker lamp. Repeat on the opposite side.
  10. Install the splash shield to fascia fasteners (1). Tighten the fasteners securely. Repeat on the opposite side.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power up the 12 volt system,

    Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  13. Connect the 12-volt negative battery cable.
